Dethroned 2010 Bb. Pilipinas Universe Maria Venus Raj tearfully explained to Boy Abunda in his ABS CBN show The Buzz Sunday, April 4, the reasons on the inconsistencies of her birth records and vowed to fight for her crown.
Raj explained in the interview that it was only until she was in high school as she was applying for scholarship for college that she found out that there were some inconsistencies in her birth records, and claimed that she was open about it from the very beginning with BPCI when she joined the pageant.
Venus also claimed that both she and her mother did not have anything to do with the inconsistencies as it was filed by a relative on their behalf. She also said that they were not able to correct the irregularities as they were poor and would rather use the money for food.
